Labor Day Weekend and the 5K Walk/Run

Labor Day Weekend "Kicks Off" with a Friday night Fish Fry at Voyagaire Lodge.
Pick up a map at Anderson Canoe Outfitters and complete the Trading Post Run enjoying end-of-season discounts and sidewalk sales at area businesses.
Saturday events include a pancake breakfast at the Chapel, an afternoon guided hike starting at Handbergs Marina, and an evening dance at Voyagaire Lodge, 9 pm-midnight.
Also in 2017, Crane Lake is working together to raise money for our Fire Dept/EMS crew.  We are purchasing a new rescue boat and motor.  On Friday, stop at Nelson's Resort to see donated items on display as part of the Silent Auction.  Then again on Saturday these items will be available at Voyagaire Lodge from noon- 6 pm.  On Saturday night at 8 pm, silent auction winners will be announced and so will the grand prize winners from the raffle!

Sunday morning is a weekend highlight - the 4th annual Crane Lake 5K Walk/Run.  Be at Nelson's Resort to register between 8-8:30 am and the Race starts promptly at 9.  Preregister by August 20th please for the guarantee of a t-shirt.  (Registration forms are available at area businesses, cost is $25/adults and $20/kids 12 and under) In 2016, approximately 90 people participated in this Fun Run!  And many of them enjoyed the popular Bloody Mary Bar available afterwards.  Please call Brenda at 993-2295 if you have questions.
Sunday morning you may also take advantage of our very talented, local friend, Connie Cowden as she is offering a basket weaving class beginning at 9 am at the Crane Lake Fire Hall.  This class is limited to 12 people and will have a fee for basket making materials.  Stop in Anderson Outfitters for more information or to sign up!
Sunday afternoon the Trading Post Run wraps up with another Ice Cream Social at Handbergs Marina where prizes are awarded.
