Bruce Beste, owner of Cabins on Crane, reported Greg and John fished in Loon Lake yesterday afternoon and caught 6 very nice walleyes. They were fishing 9 to 13 feet water using jig and leech and hook and minnow with a slip sinker.

A group of 11 guys staying at Pine Point Lodge, Resort and Motel have reported excellent fishing. They are planning a fish fry tonight. As Robert reported, ‘Walleyes are on the bite this week! Most are being caught with bottom bouncers, crawler harnesses and spinner rigs moving over rock structures in the 8'- 24' range.'
Our expert Muskie fisherman, Blake, is back this year. He is a bit frustrated as he has only gotten all his muskies close to the boat so far. He says he’ll guarantee one before he leaves. Tune in next week to see his photo!
Father and son, Dan and Nathan, below, had some great bass fishing while staying at Pine Point. Dan's small mouth bass was 19 1/2" caught using a tube jig, while Nathan's large mouth bass was 20 1/2" using a wacky worm. Both fish were successfully released at the boat.
Another young angler, Dylan, caught and released this gigantic 28 1/4" walleye this past week. Nice job guys!!
